How Does My Little Blue Ball Floating In Space Today

This project allows users to access the daily imageries of the Earth collected by DSCOVR’s Earth Polychromatic Imaging Camera (EPIC) instrument. Users can simply pick an available date from 2015 to now, view all images of earth that day that taken from different perspectives by EPIC.

As a space fan, I’m always wondering what can I learn from this data, what does our beloved earth look like out there? How does my little blue ball floating in space today? How much do we really understand it?

As a science student, I’m wondering how can I use this data to tackle some of the bigger questions. Anything different between today and two years ago today? How our planet is changing now and how Earth could change in the future? From rising sea levels to the changing availability of freshwater.

This project is not for observation, but also for exploring.
